Where does the time go? I opened my studio and things have been going fast and furious. Enjoying every moment of this adventure. Stubbs Photography by Kim is gearing up for my 1st Valentine Mini Session at the studio. Last year I was so excited to plan a mini session and the snow starting falling and did not stop so had to cancel the event but dragged 2 clients in the snow just to make sure I used my props. But this year, rain, sun or snow we will have a great mini session. ere are a few images of my great nephew giving some sneak peaks of giving you ideas on clothing and see how much FUN it will be!

Grand Opening was a Success {Oklahoma Photographer- Midtown}

What a great turnout with the Grand Opening on Tuesday, August 9th. It was great seeing so many friends, clients who have become such dear friends and professional vendors. So many thanks to such amazing vendors, the flowers from Tony Foss Design, Madelines Flowers, Poppy Lane Design, Ice Vase from Cheryl over at Ideas in Ice, Mood Party Rentals, Stephanie for the Champagne from “Perfect Wedding Guide”, Rod with Music Dj and Anna and Kirby for some great looking furniture that just completed the look! Last but not least Donna with Madison’s on Main knocked it out of the building with some amazing cupcakes!!! They looked great but they were out of this world in taste! More pictures to come from Mark Lee who was so gracious in capturing the event!

Had a great day capturing Miss Claire with her mom and dad, they were here visiting The Murphy’s, Nina and Miss Viv for the weekend from Kansas. We headed to Will Rogers Park before they spent the day at the Arts Festival. What a little sweetheart!

New Studio {Midtown District}

When I started my business, over 5 years ago I had a dream that maybe someday I would have a studio and be able to bring clients here and meet future clients at a location other than my home. So on April 1st, and it was not an April Fools joke, I signed a lease for a studio space in the real happening area of Midtown District in Oklahoma City. My heart was so filled with joy that I hadn’t felt this happy since I had my three children. The feelings of joy and happiness was so overwhelming. For this to happen in my life took so many people that supported me and trusted me. A BIG thank you to my husband for always telling me that I can do anything I want and his support for 32 years, another amazing man in my life is my boss, Dr John Stecklow, who I have had the pleasure of working for as a Office Manager for over 12 years and told me a couple weeks ago to aim for my dream and he would support me all the way as long as I did not leave him and the office, but gave me the freedom to make all of this work. And last but not least, my cousin Joe Aker for believing in me and helping me make this come together, he has been an amazing world known photographer out of Houston, Tx for over 50 years and is the Owner of AZ Photo and has had many featured gallery shows of his work. And most of all my clients, they have trusted me and supported me in these past 5 years and have allowed me to capture their family in pictures and have made amazing friendships along the way. SO THANK YOU THANK YOU for helping me aim high and see my dream come true. I praise God for giving me the strength to dream big and work hard to live my life with love, happiness and laughter!

1st Easter Mini Session {Oklahoma Family Photographer}

The sun was suppose to shine and Stubbs Photography by Kim was scheduled for the 1st Annual Easter Mini Session. So with 10 families all excited with new Easter clothes and “live” baby chicks waiting to make an appearance, we had all the makings of a great shoot but leave it to Oklahoma weather to change the setting. The weatherman said high 60′a with sunshine on Friday but when Saturday morning appeared we had clouds, Oklahoma wind and just winter weather. So trying to make some other options, we set up outside and in at one of my best dear friends home and we were set. Here are a few pictures of the day, my clients were awesome and braved all the elements to get some great Easter moments! The baby chicks were great and the kids had so much fun playing with them.

So many exciting things are happening for Stubbs Photography by Kim but before I get to share in all the news we had a beautiful wedding at Walnut Creek Wedding Chapel. Congrats to Kamber and Greg.
The day started out alittle cloudy but when everyone got dressed and ready to capture the memories, the sun peeked through the clouds and we started the celebration of Kamber and Greg. Here are a few sneak peaks of their day and all the happenings.

What a awesome day to have an engagement session, Kamber and Greg’s wedding is in a month at Walnut Creek, so getting some great shots and having fun was the goal today. I met Kamber and knew she was going to be fun to work with and such an easy going bride, it was my first opportunity to meet Greg today and he was so easy to work with and so comfortable with a camera following him around this afternoon. SO here are some of my favorite shots of the day. . but I can tell you there are so many great ones.
